OARS has an opening for two Summer Environmental Eduction Interns

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION INTERN:

Job Description
OARS is seeking two interns who will be part of a small team to produce a series of instructional pieces on watershed topics. The materials will include demonstration videos and hands-on learning activities for children ages 6-10. Responsibilities will include both independent work and working together at various field locations within the Sudbury-Assabet-Concord watershed.

Qualifications
High school and college students with an interest in environmental education. Preference will be given to students with a demonstrated love for the outdoors and environment, and a strength in presenting material appealing to young children.
Applicants
• Should have taken an Environmental Science class
• Understanding of Water Science
• Combination of skills and interest in designing and writing scripts for the activities
• Experience in video recording and editing using standard video equipment and software is desirable
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team.

Employment Details
These are part-time paid positions, 12 hr/week on average, for 6 weeks from July through August.
Interns will need to provide their own transportation to and from the field locations.
Distancing guidelines will be strictly observed during any activities involving interaction with other team members.
