Volunteer

OARS depends on dedicated volunteers for many of our projects and activities. Please consider contributing your time to our cause by volunteering in the field, office, or help with community outreach.

Field volunteers are needed for:
• Water Quality Sampling
• Invasive Water Chestnut removal
• River Cleanup
• River Passage Clearing

Office volunteers are needed for:
• General office support: mailings, posting flyers
• Help with events
• Writing OARS newsletter articles and publicity pieces
• Please contact the OARS office.

Community outreach volunteers are needed for:
• Help us spread the word by staffing an OARS information table at fairs, farmers' markets, and other community events
• Lead a hike, birdwalk, other nature activities
• Help us grow our membership by identifying people in your community who you think would likely be supporters of OARS' work
