Annual River Cleanup

Team Up Cleanup - our pandemic style 34th Annual River Cleanup - was a huge success, thanks to the more than 70 volunteers from across our watershed who came out to help make our rivers more beautiful!

On September 25-27, families and small groups of friends chose their own special places where they wanted to make a difference. Piles of tires, car parts, bottles, a lawnmower, shredded rubber rafts, an inflatable jet ski and more were hauled from the rivers and their shores in 13 of our watershed communities.

Not only did everyone work hard, they also took home what trash they could for proper disposal. The Department of Public Works in each town helped us remove and dispose of the tires and larger trash. A wonderful reminder that our community can do anything when it comes together!

Please join us next September! A team of people working together can make a real, visible difference for the rivers and their community.
