Help Eradicate Invasive Water Chestnuts from the Concord River

OARS and Lowell Parks and Conservation Trust are looking for volunteers with canoes to help pull invasive water chestnut from the Concord River in Lowell and Billerica. You’ll get instructions on the spot, and a morning of good, messy fun helping to restore habitat on the Concord River.

Wednesday, August 1st from 8 am - 11 am.
Meeting Place:Muldoon Park, 5 Billerica Street, Lowell
Wear: Clothes and shoes/sandals that can get wet & dirty. A change of clothes in your car is recommended.
Bring: You’ll need to bring a canoe or other boat, paddles, bailer (if you have one) and PFD for each boater. Bring hats, sunscreen, and water bottles. Work gloves that can get wet – if you have them.
