Celebrate the arrival of Summer with Musketaquid and OARS along the Assabet, Sudbury and Concord Rivers on Friday, June 21. Join us as we kick off Riverfest (June 21-23, a weekend of celebrating our Wild and Scenic Rivers!
Come to the riverbank by foot, or paddle over to shore, bring a picnic and enjoy music, poetry and art at the Old Calf Pasture near the Lowell Road bridge in Concord!
Plein Air Painting Class: Join art instructor Cecilia Sharma's free 2-hour outdoors watercolor workshop. For all levels, some experience in drawing and painting helpful but not required. 8 am
Paddle the lower parts of the Assabet and Sudbury Rivers, continuing down to the Old North Bridge on the Concord River searching for clues and stickers, including a treat at the Old Calf Pasture.
Put your canoe or kayak in at the Lowell Street Bridge or if renting a boat, at the South Bridge Boat House (978-369-9438, 486 Main Street, Concord) between 10 and 11:30 am.
This is a family-friendly paddle that takes 1-2 hours.

Fishing Class for Kids!

Would your kids like to learn how to fish? Concord Outfitters will run a fishing class for children ages 6-13 years old on the banks of Nashoba Brook in West Concord.

Calling All Photographers!
All photographers, young and old, novice and pro, are invited to enter the OARS photo contest. We are seeking photographs that illustrate the beauty and challenges of the Assabet, Sudbury, and Concord Rivers and their watersheds.
